As an agency we often work with clients that require display ad creation. Whether that is for META ads, Google Display Network (GDN), or Google Performance Max (PMAX) campaigns, having hard hitting AD creative is a critical component of a successful campaign.
One of the biggest mistakes we’ve seen advertisers making in accounts we’ve audited from previous agencies, is running a campaign type, that is heavily creative dependent (again, performance max, demand gen, and meta ads, all fall into this category), and continuing to run creative beyond their aggregate shelf life in terms of total spend and reach.
In other words, ALL ads eventually “fizzle out”. AD FATIGUE sets in.
Not only that…
We have tested literally hundreds of ads for single advertisers on platforms like YouTube, and have found that it is imperative to have a steady flow of new ad creative ready to test.
So like many agencies, throughout the years, we’ve created these ads “manually” using our creative specialists, and they add their personal flavor and knowledge around conversion to create hard hitting ads. And truthfully, nothing really can replace the effectiveness of a smart ad idea that comes from creative specialists.
So I’ll be the first to tell you, we have not abandoned leveraging our top designers to make ads for our clients. In fact, we do NOT believe you should rely solely on AI tools. And even the BEST AI tools require the right inputs, understanding of your target market, creation of a USP (unique selling proposition) and more. So it’s not as simple as just clicking a button and you’re done.
That said, the right AI tools DO increase your output, and can help you create volumes of ad creative at the click of a button. In other words, you can become far more efficient at creating ads. So while this is NOT a replacement for creating display ads, the following tool we have found is the best out there in terms of creating new display ad variations at the “click of a button” based on your text and image inputs. (So yes, you still have to do some work guys…)
So the best tools we’ve come across for this purpose is adcreative.ai
With AD Creative.ai you are able to input your ad text, and with a click of a button, the system will give you a range of creative variations to pick from.

Here is the example output for an ecommerce brand (above).
As you can see, the system will automatically come u p with a range of ad styles based on your inputs. If you don’t like what the outputs are, you can make some adjustments of the criteria and re-create more ads.
Overall, the process is very simple and easy to use. We do recommend this tool, especially for agencies that work on a high volume of ad creatives for clients.
